One person stabbed with life-threatening injuries in SF

(KRON) – One person was stabbed near Mission Street on Tuesday, the San Francisco Police Department announced. San Francisco police responded to 20th and Mission streets regarding a stabbing at 7:50 p.m. on Dec. 5. Ex-San Jose cop went on road rage rampage, according to court docs Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim with apparent stab wounds. Police said they rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene. The victim was transported the victim to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. There has not been an arrest in this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at (415)-575-4444.

A mother turned herself in Tuesday night after being charged in the accident shooting death of her 4-year-old daughter.Krystal Banegas was charged with manslaughter, along with her boyfriend, 25-year-old Quavanta Ennels.The incident occurred on Nov. 5 in the 8100 block of Northwest 21st Avenue, where police said, Jocelyn Taylor Rolle was accidently shot in the head by her 3-year-old brother when he found a gun in their Northwest Miami-Dade home. She and her younger brother were both left alone in a room with no supervision.Ennels, a convicted felon, appeared in court Tuesday where a judge set his bond to $815,000.

3-year-old dies after running into traffic in Melbourne; mom struck while chasing after child

MELBOURNE, Florida (WESH) — A child was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a car in Melbourne.According to Melbourne police, officers were called to Dairy Road and Hall Street just after 8 p.m.Investigators say a 3-year-old and two adults were exiting a vehicle parked southbound on Dairy Road to return home.The vehicle had a trailer attached, and the toddler ran behind the trailer and into the northbound lanes of Dairy Road.As the 31-year-old mother ran after the child, both were struck by a Honda Pilot traveling northbound.Police say the child died at Holmes Regional Medical Center and the mother was seriously hurt.Officials say it appears alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in this crash.

FAA announces new pilot mental health committee ahead of NTSB summit

(CNN) — The Federal Aviation Administration announced a special committee Tuesday that could suggest changes to pilot mental health rules.The announcement comes one day before the first National Transportation Safety Board summit on the stigma – where pilots with easily treatable mental health issues go without any help at all – that has dogged the FAA.The FAA says the new Mental Health Aviation Rulemaking Committee will “provide recommendations to the FAA on ways to identify and break down any remaining barriers that discourage pilots from reporting and seeking care for mental health issues.”Wednesday’s NTSB roundtable will bring together experts from the fields of aviation and medicine.
