(KRON) -- Two suspects have been arrested for armed robbery and a large cache of weapons has been seized, the San Jose Police Department announced Friday. Eddie Robinson, 39, and Christy Rivera, 47, both of San Jose, were identified as the suspects in a purse snatch robbery last summer.Police responded on June 29 to a report of a purse snatch robbery in the 5000 block of Makati Circle. A man, later identified as Robinson, had stolen a purse from a woman, causing non-life-threatening injuries, police said. A witness at the scene confronted Robinson who brandished a firearm, police said. Two women arrested for stealing $1,900 of merchandise at Great Mall in Milpitas After patrol units conducted an initial investigation, the case was assigned to the SJPD Robbery Unit.Robinson and Rivera were identified as the primary suspects during the course of a follow-up investigation. COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Gale-force winds and floods struck several countries in Northern Europe as the region endured more heavy rain on Friday that forecasters say will continue into the weekend.In the U.K., at least three people are reported to have died as a result of the bad weather, two in Scotland and one in England.The winds are expected to hit hardest in the eastern part of Denmark’s Jutland peninsula and the Danish islands in the Baltic Sea. Before the District is hit with road closures next Sunday for the 48th Marine Corps Marathon, drivers will have to contend with two more events shutting down streets this weekend.The last of Howard University’s Homecoming events will kick off road closures on Friday and Saturday, as a week of celebrations come to a close. The “Revival”-themed homecoming will include the Greek Step Show on Friday night. (CNN) — A suspect is still on the loose after he shot and killed a state judge at his home Thursday, hours after the judge ruled against him in a child custody case, a Maryland sheriff said Friday.“This was a targeted attack against Judge (Andrew) Wilkinson,” Washington County Sheriff Brian Albert said.The suspect, Pedro Argote, 49, “is considered armed and dangerous,” Albert said. Argote is 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, the sheriff’s office said. He may be driving a silver 2009 Mercedes GL450 with Maryland plates.Argote did not attend the divorce hearing earlier Thursday at which Wilkinson granted child custody to Argote’s partner, Albert said.Wilkinson, a county circuit court judge, was in his own driveway – with his wife and son at home – when he was shot, Albert said.
